Basecamp - Intranet Branding

Summit Design and Engineering Services recognized the need for better internal communication based on employee feedback. The firm primarily relied on 'All Staff' emails, which were often overlooked, missing crucial information like employee benefits. To improve this, Summit decided to implement an intranet system. In 2020, senior leadership and tech teams evaluated various intranet providers and chose Knowledge Architecture to create 'Basecamp.' As part of the implementation team, I managed site branding and served as Content Manager for the Marketing page, while each department's Content Manager gathered information for their sections. After content integration, 'Early Adopters' tested usability, providing feedback for enhancements. Launch efforts included teaser videos, flyers, an employee raffle, and a scavenger hunt to engage staff with Basecamp. Post-launch, I continued on the Basecamp team, facilitating monthly meetings to address issues and brainstorm engagement strategies, while ensuring adherence to branding standards and incorporating custom HTML5 and JavaScript as needed.
