The Problem
The City of Galax, Virginia had multiple oppotunities for both new development and redevelopment
across the city. The City leaders
wanted potential developers to be able to easily access these different opportunties and submit
a statement of qualifications to
the City's request for proposal if needed. The website needed to be simple and easy to navigate
while including both information
and imagery related to available opportunities.
The Solution
First I met with the planning team at Summit Design and Engineering Services to discuss what
needed to be included on the website.
Once all of that information was gathered, I began developing the draft of the website using
WordPress. This project has a very tight turn-around of less
than a week. After the draft web layout was completed on a staging site, I shared it with the
Summit planning team and they reviewed it with
the City's leadership. Once the website was approved, it was launched for the general public.
